Do You Reread Books?

I do, fairly frequently. There are several books that I’ve read every couple of years for a decade or more. Books like My Side of the Mountain or The Long Ships. Then there are other books that aren’t on such a nice schedule, but have still been read at least two or three times. Snow Crash. Excession and Look to Windward. The Icarus Hunt. Aaron Allston’s X-Wing books.

For me, it’s like watching a favorite movie over again. I want to have that experience again. Who doesn’t still love Groundhog Day or The Shawshank Redemption or Star Wars, even the fifth time they’ve seen it?

What sort of books do you reread? Why?

I hardly ever reread books but I also almost never rewatch movies. :-)
